After almost 4 months of hard work, experienced GWS technicians have finalised the installation of 35 Siemens 3.2-113 Direct Drive turbines at Hornsdale III. The project is a continuation of Hornsdale I and II, making the wind farm as large as 99 turbines in total, located on 7,500 hectares of land, 236 km north of Adelaide, Australia.

GWS was hired to work on the full installation scope consisting of pre-installation, main installation and mechanical completion.

“Australia, it is an important market for us now and in the future – and the increase of projects has led us to establish Global Wind Service Australia PTY LTD. We are very ambitious about this market and with yet another project successfully completed, we have taken the next step towards our continued business on the continent”, says Lars Petersen, GWS CEO.
