Over the course of 2016 a series of Vestas turbines will rise in Sweden and Finland and Global Wind Service (GWS) has been appointed to carry out installation with two GWS teams for the Finnish projects and one GWS team for the Swedish project.
The initial projects consist of approx. 125 turbines in total. Sörby will be the first wind farm in Sweden to be powered by the V117-3.3MW turbines – 37 of its kind to be exact. The remaining turbines will be erected across a series of Finnish wind farms from Ilmajoki to Nikkarenkaarto and will all be equipped with the V126-3.45MW turbines.
“Executing wind projects in countries like Finland and Sweden with extreme weather conditions is always challenging, but our technicians are suitably skilled to deal with the harsh environments,” said COO Michael Nielsen.
