October saw the start of preparation work on the Mid Hill project site in Scotland. This project consists of 25 SWP 2.3MW turbines with hub heights of 78.5m and 58.5m which is situated Southwest of Aberdeen, Scotland. After the successful execution of the Rothes II project last year, Mid Hill will be the 2nd project where Fred. Olsen Renewables are the final customer.

Global Wind Service (GWS) has the contract for the Craning & Installation and BMS will be the partner for the craning. After the installation of the first 25 turbines there is a possibility for 8 more turbines to follow next year on the same site.

Our technicians will face extreme conditions during the installation as the winter in Scotland can be very tough, we will, however, ensure that all GWS site staff have the necessary equipment, training, information and site facilities to enabling a successful execution.
