Global Wind Service Supporting Ex-Military Career Transition
Today both Mark and Rob are attending Mission Renewables National Transition Event at Silverstone racetrack in the UK. They will be offering career transition advice, guidance and potential job opportunities.
Rob Wilhoite (UK Area Manager) and Mark Foster (Project Manager) met back in 2012 whilst both serving in the British Armed Forces. Since then, they have both embarked on a career outside of the military in the renewable energy industry.
Initially both starting their “second career” as technicians; responsible for the maintenance and repair of wind turbines, they have both progressed into back-office management positions.
Rob Wilhoite said - “Leaving the armed forces can be a daunting process, and therefore it’s crucial there are organisations, events and opportunities to support Service men and women leaving the military. Both Mark and I have already walked those very steps and were given similar support. It’s now our time to give something back and we are both super excited to help those attending event today using our knowledge and experience.”
