Sales Manager US - Wind Industry

Position Summary:

  • Executes the sales strategy for assigned key accounts
  • Manages contract negotiations for assigned line of business

  • Partners with Operations in sales, negotiations, and project delivery

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance to finance and accounting team for project cost
  • Partners with legal team for contract negotiations
  • Develops sales goals and strategies that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the Business Development Director and Area Manager
  • Manages and develops your customer portfolio and secures strong relationships and long-term partnerships
  • Drives large tender processes
  • Contributes to the internal structure and sales process to ensure customer-focus and a proactive sales effort and approach
  • Negotiates contracts, including understanding commercial conditions and consequences
  • Ensures internal coordination, handover, and partnership with Operations from project negotiation through project conclusion
  • Develops effective means of communication with associates at all levels across the business to build a relationship of trust and respect
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40%
  • Flexibility to work overtime hours on weekly basis
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Business Management or related field highly preferred
  • At least seven years of progressive sales management work experience
  • At least three years of wind industry experience
  • Strong market and product knowledge and ability to integrate critical market intelligence in order to drive the growth of the market
  • Results focus to set goals, deliver results consistently, take action to achieve targets, and overcome obstacles
  • Knowledge of operations management to understand how this integrates into overall business and financial planning
  • Experienced leading high performing teams in high growth situations
  • Proven ability to initiate, develop and grow superior and sustainable vendor and customer relationships, plus the ability to collaborate with and influence others
  • Must have the ability to establish credibility and trust in relationships with customers, team members and clients
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & Project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and research skills.
  • Able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and display a sense of urgency.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Function with little supervision. Be an effective team player.

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to move around the office up to 20% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc.
  • This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.) on a regular basis. This position must be able to inspect and

observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.

  • This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Company’s employees, clients, vendors and/or contractors.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
