Tax Manager - Denmark

Due to our continued development Global Wind Service is looking to appoint a Tax Manager to be based at our Headquarters in Denmark, within a commutable distance to our office in Fredericia.

As Tax Manager at Global Wind Service you will be responsible for managing Global Wind Service’s employer obligations for income tax associated with cross-border work activities by international mobile personnel. You will be the point of contact for executing and operating personnel tax compliance, actively seeking and implenting processes and resolutions, building long-term solutions to support our globally flexible and active group of wind turbine technicians.


You will be engaged in company tax matters in relation to personal income tax. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with our international offices to drive continuous improvement of our Global Mobility compliance function for tax. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with employment income tax competencies and the ability to implement tax related processes and monitoring solutions. An appetite for getting operationally involved and getting things done is essential to succeed in this role. You will report to the Head of Global Mobility, based at our office in The Netherlands.

Requirements

Job Description

  • Implement and coordinate internal and external shadow payroll and personnel tax reporting operations
  • Support and instruct stakeholders with the administration of employment and wage tax processes for employees residing and working in international and multistate situations
  • Advise employees on personal income tax inquiries in relation to their GWS activities and provide timely and accurate information
  • Liaise with local payroll teams and third parties including tax advisers, local authorities and payroll agents
  • Set up and manage personnel tax data provision, settlement and tax compliance policies
  • Analyze personnel tax regulations and monitor country specific and global developments for new and existing markets and align with stakeholders on requirements
  • Recommend personnel tax strategies that align with business goals and implement policies to ensure compliance, identify and mitigate risks
  • Cooperate with Finance Controlling to integrate personal income tax data into financial reporting processes
  • Manage and coordinate personnel tax reporting and audits, ensuring documentation is available and accurate
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues and employees on personal income tax matters, ensuring awareness and compliance with relevant tax laws
  • Development and implementation of Permanent Establishment (PE) Compliance: Identify and assess potential PE activities, implement guidelines and processes to ensure PE compliance and ensure the company meets all PE-related obligations
  • Administration of Withholding tax compliance: Monitor country-specific withholding tax laws and regulations to ensure correct reporting and withholding of taxes across borders. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with Finance and Payroll as well as external advisors to ensure proper handling of withholding tax requirements

  • Job Requirements
  • Experience in Tax Law, Fiscal or Business Economics, Accounting
  • Tax certification (NBA), CPA or other relevant professional certification is an advantage
  • Experience in personal income tax management for an international organisation
  • Executional ability
  • Knowledge of local, international tax regulations and double tax treaty mechanisms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence with navigating a culturally divers matrix organisation
