Global Wind Service (GWS) has been awarded the contract for the installation (including the delivery of tooling) of the Delfzijl project in the Netherlands for Nordex. The project comprises of 19 x N100 Delta WTG with 100m hub-height. The project will be executed in Q4 2014 and Q1 2015.
After Bosjovarden (in Sweden) this is the second Nordex project for GWS. More importantly, this is the first installation contract in the Netherlands since 2009. Recent announcements in Holland had meant that the Dutch onshore and offshore market has committed to a more demanding forecast of 6000MW to be installed by 2020. Once again Holland will be an interesting market for GWS.
