GWS was selected by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as their preferred partner for the tower pre-assembly and 66kV High Voltage scope which commenced mid-March 2019. GWS multi-skilled technicians have been working alongside specialized HV-technicians from our joint venture partner Delpro Wind.

A mix of different nationalities has been working on the project together, but it has been a priority for GWS to employ a high percentage of UK technicians. Our teams were originally tasked with delivering assembled components for one installation vessel. However, in close collaboration with Siemens Gamesa it was decided to deploy a second installation vessel from December 2019 onwards, resulting in superior and very efficient teamwork from all parties involved.
