Following the successful installation of 44x V164 8.4MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) at Norther Offshore Wind Farm, Global Wind Service are delighted to announce that we will be supporting MHI Vestas Offshore Wind with the provision of our experienced offshore installation technicians for the installation of 33x V164 8MW WTGs at Deutsche Bucht Offshore Wind Farm commencing June 2019.

Besides providing experienced staff for the installation phase, Global Wind Service is also supporting MHI Vestas Offshore Wind with the pre-assembly activities on Deutsche Bucht through our setup with MHI on ESPF in Esbjerg.

“We are grateful to MHI Vestas for trusting us with this interesting project and we look very much forward mobilizing our experienced personnel across to Deutsche Bucht. We have had a close and strong partnership with MHI Vestas Offshore Wind through many years and are very pleased to continue our journey  – this time installing 33 turbines at Deutsche Bucht” Says Lars Petersen, CCO at GWS

Northland is the 100% owner of the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind project, which is located in the North Sea, more than 100 kilometres from the mainland in the German Exclusive Economic Zone. Approximately 1.1 billion kilowatt hours of climate-friendly electricity are forecasted to be generated per year. This is enough to meet the needs of approximately 328,000 households.
