The UK business unit have reason to celebrate this month after their first annual ISO Audit. The IMS or Integrated Management System was first implemented in the UK at the beginning of the summer and is designed to deliver a higher standard of management and control throughout the company. The IMS covers OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).

‘The results of our first ever ISO audit are really excellent. We achieved a pass without any non-conformities and only a few minor recommendations. A big thank you goes to the whole UK team for their efforts and their willingness to embrace and use the system so effectively. An especially big thank you also to John Burke (GWS Rope Access Manager) for his excellent work in developing the rope access department – the auditor was particularly impressed with this area of the business’ said Corporate HSEQ Manager Mogens Duus.

The audit took place at the UK operational offices in King’s Lynn on 13th and 14th November and will now be an annual fixture in the GWS calendar. For more information about the ISO standards, please go to www.iso.org.
