Project Analyst

Position Summary:

  • Provides administrative support for GWS US projects
  • Provides information to assist with contract negotiations
  • Maintains project data in Saviom and MS Project

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fosters productive relationships with clients and customers
  • Develops familiarity with project contract in order to assist with maintaining compliance with contract, local legislation and customer requirements
  • Prepares, coordinates and maintains project documentation in accordance with GWS practices and standards
  • Assists with monitoring project performance, provides weekly updates to customers and makes adjustments as needed to maintain schedule and budget
  • Reviews budgets and provides details on budget variances
  • Reviews and approves invoices for assigned projects
  • Partners with various internal departments including accounting, operations, legal, and hr
  • Special projects, as assigned.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20%
  • Flexibility to work overtime hours on weekly basis
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Pre-employment background check and drug test
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field highly preferred
  • At least two years of progressive project management work experience for construction projects
  • At least one year of direct people management experience
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Some knowledge of contract management/administration; understanding legal terminology and its effects on project execution
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & Project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and research skills.
  • Able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and display a sense of urgency.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Function with little supervision. Be an effective team player.
  • High energy, self-motivated, service-oriented and ethical with a high degree of integrity

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to move around the office up to 20% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc.
  • This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.) on a regular basis. This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.
  • This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Company’s employees, clients, vendors and/or contractors.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
